Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche Calligraphy Print: "Love"

Item Number: 319
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
This calligraphy appeared in the January '95 issue of the Shambhala Sun "to illustrate an article on, what else, love", says art director Liza Matthews. Starting in 2007 the print was made available in our own online gallery and is offered now owing to its continuing popularity.
The original calligraphy was executed by Trungpa Rinpoche at the 1978 Vajradhatu Seminary in Dixville Notch, New Hampshire. It was an event that was marked by his proclamation of the Shambhala teachings, and joy and love was in the air.
Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche was one of the leading Buddhist teachers of the 20th century and a pioneer in bringing Buddhism to the West. He was a poet, painter, and calligrapher whose teachings on dharma art described a profound connection between meditative mind and the creative process.
