Established in 1952, The Marin Symphony is one of the oldest, most prestigious, cultural organizations in Marin County. The orchestra was the creation of a small group of professional and amateur musicians who wished to bring classical music to the people of the Bay Area.

The Marin Symphony season consists of 10 concerts offering five programs of meticulously selected and performed classical music. Our featured works range from time-honored classical favorites to today's most fresh and innovative compositions.

Maestro Alasdair Neale is quickly earning an international reputation for masterfully insightful and precise interpretations of the classical music repertoire. Consistently, he creates programs with powerful appeal to today's audiences. Standing ovations are not uncommon!
