A glassybaby is physically a small, colored glass cup, candleholder, or vase. But the light of a candle coming through a glassybaby generates more: it gives warmth to a cold day, a calm token of peace in a busy world.

Glassybaby was founded by a three-time cancer survivor who found great hope in the light of a lit handmade votive. She wanted to spread that hope and help the many patients she met in chemotherapy waiting rooms who could not afford basic costs like groceries or bus fare. As of October 5, 2012, Glassybaby has given over $1 million from sales to charitable causes dedicated to healing.
