Give your PACCC pre-school teachers the opportunity to strengthen their high-quality classroom practice in the area of mathematics. The winning bidder's pre-school teaching staff will receive four hours of professional development on research-based curriculum and teaching practices for supporting, through age- and developmentally-appropriate activities, the mathematics learning of children ages 3 to 5. In addition to the professional development sessions, the center also receives books and manipulatives for teachers to incorporate into their classrooms.

The professional development activities will be led by PACCC Board Member Ken Rafanan, a mathematics education researcher based at SRI International's Center for Technology in Learning. Mr. Rafanan has developed mathematics learning curricula for National Science Foundation research projects and crafted professional development activities for teachers across the United States and internationally.
