Description
You are bidding on a Mitchell Acoustic Guitar MD100 Dreadnought from the Guitar Center valued at $260.00.
A recent published article, here are two reviews of this guitar:
1) I am a guitar collector and player for over 40 years. This Mitchell is an excellent crafted and sounding guitar. I still can't believe the price. Definately not just a good beginners guitar! This thing is a serious guitar. The sound is crisp and clear from bass to treble. I can not find ONE flaw in any part of it. I have paid alot more for accoustics that I had to send back. Do not hesitate to buy one of these. This sweetheart could sell for a lot more money. I mean alot more money, no bull.
2) Mitchell makes a very nice guitar for the price. Again, I would give more than a 10 here if possible. I have several other much more expensive instruments, but plan to keep this one for a long, long time. The guitar is made of all laminated woods, including the spruce top. I've been told for years that there is a distinct difference between solid and laminated woods in guitars, especially for the top. Usually solid woods cost far more. As an example, Mitchell's MD 100S, boasts a solid spruce top, but it retails for $120 more than the MD 100. In my view, the MD 100's laminate top didn't seem to really make any difference. When played side-by-side with some other manufacturers solid top guitars, this instument was completely comperable. The guitar had many qualities I would expect in a much more expensive guitar. Because it is a dreadnought, you would expect a powerful sound; it did not disappoint me. It also has a sweet balanced tone throughout the registers, and as far as I could tell near perfect intonation between the open string note and twelfth fret pitch either fretted or playing harmonic.
This is a great guitar for the money for either a beginner or for someone who wants a guitar for the road.
