After working in critical care nursing for many years, Karen Pischke, RN observed that many patients admitted to the intensive care units reported underlying stress issues. Many had disease and illnesses that seemed largely preventable through healthy lifestyle management and stress reduction. Karen Pischke felt there must be better ways to promote wellness and prevent disease. She then was introduced to the Integrative Model of Healthcare, a model that combines the research of science with the aspects of Holistic Care: Caring, Assisting, Rapport, Empathy, Support…..just what she had been looking for. And in the year 2000 Dreamtime Wellness® was born, offering holistic healthcare and education on Cape Ann, MA and throughout the Boston area.
