Description
Judith's creations are handmade one-of-a-kind works of art using a variety of techniques. They are molded from buckrum and then wire-edged by hand. They are covered with rich silk velvet that is handdyed. The wings and horns are all created by a special process that Judith developed.
Each piece is then decorated with lace, crystals, found treasures, bones, feather, and hung with ribbon. Each piece has hours of handsewing and detail.
Judith has been creating masks since the early 80's and for the last twelve years has designed pieces for Cirque du Soleil. The last three years, she has created large fantastical headpieces for the woman who runs the Doge's Ball every year in Venice for Carnevale.
Judith resides in the East Mountain area outside Albuquerque, New Mexico.
