A set of jeweled horses designed by Patience Brewster, the originator of Krinkle ornaments.

These are collector items.

Patience Brewster is a book and card illustrator. She started working with Dept. 56 in 2002, designing a line of Christmas ornaments called Krinkles.

As a prior retail store owner, who sold her ornaments, they just flew out the door. I never knew how many collectors of her fantastical creatures in the Krinkle line there were. They came back year after year to build their collection.

I have to say I have become a great fan.

Each horse opens with a magnetic latch to reveal a  secret compartment.
