Ages 5 - 9. Children learn piano by composing their own pieces which they play and sing, creating their own special music notebook. The Piano party is a wonderful event  for children to share their music, and play musical games. Magic Hat! Refreshments follow.

Katrina Cameron  founded  other music studios in NYC, Boston and Palo Alto, CA. She is happy to have the Tree  of  Life Studio in  Princeton, and it is a joy to teach Waldorf children. Each child  has their own timing and way of learning,  unfolding their unique gifts with wonder, joy and always inspired by Nature. She has been teaching piano since age nineteen.


As a pianist, she has appeared at many venues, with her own program, From Gershwin on.


Katrina is an experienced composer for off-Broadway productions. She was  a member of the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop under the direction of famed Lehman Engel.  Her first opera, The First Word, libretto by Ilsa Gilbert, was produced  in New York in 2008, by Downtown Music Productions; producer; mimi-sterne-wolfe.


She has written and directed a number of musicals for children, Including Songs For Bread.


Year Thing, her book of children's piano pieces was published by C.F.Peters and had rave reviews.


Here in Princeton, Katrina was the composer, pianist and music director for two shows for Stone Soup Circus; CEO, Zoe Brookes: Director: Todd Reichart. Shockheaded Peter and Stone Soup were performed at the Paul Robeson Art Center.


Katrina  has a BA in composition, piano and voice from Bennington College. She has done graduate work at Yale Music School and Indiana University Music School.


She taught kindergarten, grades 1 and 2: drama and tutoring at Milton Academy;  piano at The New Haven Music  School and was grade 3 teacher at the Spence School in NYC, where she began her New York Piano Studio.


Her greatest teacher is the child, no two alike! A magic journey for all!
