A Week in a Luxury Apartment in Montreaux Switzerland for 4-6 People

Item Number: 364
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
Plan your dream vacation at a luxury apartment overlooking Lake Geneva in the cosmopolitan city of Montreux, Switzerland, 100 km (about one hour's drive) from Geneva.
The apartment is in an historic centuries-old building with a lot of memories, charm and beauty. It was built in the early 1800s as a hotel, and was favored by the Austrian Empress Sissi who spent many summers there. The entrance to the building opens to a vesibule with beautiful tilework and a red carpet covering a grand old staircase.
Climb to the third floor to find a family-friendly apartment with lake-front views. Enjoy your morning coffee on the veranda or a large balcony. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow you to awaken to the lake, the mountains and a view of the famed Chateau de Chillon each day. The apartment comfortably sleeps 4 but can accomodate 6, with a full kitchen, bath and generous living space.
Montreaux offers shopping, hiking, museums, boating and amazing food (and a statue of Freddy Mercury--where else can you find all of that in one city?). Bus and train stops are right by your door. Walk a few short steps to a local boulangerie for your morning bread and coffee.
This auction package includes a pre-planning meeting in the U.S. with donors Anne-Laure and Andrea Zancato who will give you a taste of swiss cuisine along with pictures, a DVD and suggestions for how to plan your trip. Anne-Laure and Andrea will also welcome the winning bidder in Montreaux and orient them to the area.
