As the name suggests, the founders of Meukow cognac originated from Russia. In 1862 two brothers were sent over to France to supply the Tsar with cognac and decided to start their own cognac distillery, now in Charente. For this XO, the eaux-de-vie were aged in small oak barrels, leading to leather and tobacco notes. It's balanced in the nose, with a mellow final, with hints of chocolate and cigar.
