Janet Grillo is an Emmy Award winning producer and award winning filmmaker. As a creative executive at New Line Cinema, she launched the cult classic HOUSE PARTY series, as well as the careers of many filmmakers, including David O. Russell and Ted Demme. Independently, she produced the Sundance Award winning feature JOE THE KING, and  won an Emmy for the HBO documentary AUTISM: THE MUSICAL. Her debut film as writer/director, FLY AWAY, premiered in competition at the SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST Film Festival, and won Best Narrative Film at the Arizona Film Festival, before opening theatrically in select cities, to excellent reviews from NEW YORK TIMES, HUFFINGTON POST, NEW YORK OBSERVER and LA TIMES, which called it “most overlooked for an Oscar.” FLY AWAY continues to be available internationally, via iTunes, Amazon, Netflix.
