Description

Dark Dining Projects' events are choreographed feasts for adventurous diners ready to take the experience of food to new sensory heights in a comfortable, performative environment.  Guests are given featherweight blindfolds before entering the venue and are then guided to their seats where they are served an exquisite 4 course gourmet menu and wine pairings.  During the meal, performers and artists facilitate a full-spectrum exploration of the senses, including sound, smell, touch and taste;  musicians, dancers, vocalists, and other professional artists are all part of the rotating cast of DDP guides and performers.

The first Dark Dining Projects event took place in 2005; created by choreographer Dana Salisbury, it was conceived of as a one-off art party celebrating “whole-body-seeing”. Seven years later, our offerings have flourished into regularly-held restaurant events, performance-installations in arts and cultural venues, private parties, corporate events, and experiential workshops exploring non-visual perception.

Enjoy an ever-evolving journey through the senses like nothing you have ever (not) seen, created and directed by Dana Salisbury in collaboration with Abigail Hitchcock, chef/owner of Camaje Bistro, 85 MacDougal Street in NYC's West Village.

Enjoy a Private Party for up to 20 guests. Date subject to availablity. Additional information at www.darkdiningprojects.com
