This series of 6 (18'' x 18'') brightly colored and entertaining mixed media collaged acrylic paintings were made by Phil Shaw. Under the umbrella of pop culture and celebrity iconism, this series speaks about gay culture as it relates to the phenomenon that is the drag queen. The images Phil Shaw creates give a physical interpretation of the shade between queens.
