Persian flat woven kilim carpets.  The face of the piece is wool and it is mounted on a cloth backing.   This piece was made in Iran and imported into the US prior to the current embargo on goods from that country.

It's bold design and lively colors make for a real decorative statement for floor or wall.  The textile measures 5-7 x 7-10 and could be oriented either landscape or portrait on a wall.
