What's commonly known today as Pike's Peak was originally named "Shining Mountain" by the Ute Indians because of how brightly the sun reflected off of the snow. Minutes from the Idyllic town of Woodland Park, Colorado; Shining Mountain is sure to be considered a jewel in the Rocky Mountain state. Woodland Park is nestled amongst the pines of the Pike National Forest and with over 300 days of sunshine, we enjoy comfortable summers and mild winters. Located at nearly 8500 ft above sea level, we're not exactly heaven, but you can see it from here!

Our newly expanded Clubhouse offers seating for large groups and over 1400 sq. ft of covered deck space to enjoy the crisp, fresh mountain air. The breathtaking views of Pike's Peak and the surrounding Pike National Forest make a beautiful backdrop for any occasion. Shining Mountain boasts views of Pikes Peak and a golf course designed to be one of the most breathtaking settings in Colorado. Take in the views of the golf course and Pikes Peak from our clubhouse designed with an open air plan, complete with a cozy fireplace.

The course is 6,464 yards from the championship tees with a par of 70. The course rating is 71.6 and has a slope of 136 on Blue Grass. The seasons here are mild and the views spectacular, which makes this a superb location for your golfing pleasure.
