Melinda Rambo is a Monterey Bay artist who has been painting with soft chalk pastels since 1995. Her love of nature and gardening is reflected in her graceful, intimate, and sensuous depictions of natural subjects such as flowers, succulents, and shells.

Pastels refract light so beautifully that they are a natural medium for the luminous way that Melinda sees and portrays her subjects. The pure-pigmented colors are lovingly layered and blended by hand on archival, acid-free papers.

Melinda’s style of work combines bold realism with soft feminine abstraction. Her paintings have been shown in galleries and have received awards in exhibits. She is a member of local and international art societies.
