Description

Think you can't do yoga because of special needs? Given up on finding a yoga class you can participate in fully? Think again... as a yoga therapist, Annica specializes in working with people living with arthritis, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia and chronic pain syndrome as well as those recovering from stroke or surgery.

As a yoga therapist I enjoy working with my clients, one on one, to address specific conditions. I observe established movement patterns and offer guidelines for lasting transformation.

Yoga therapists examine behaviors and attitudes that contribute to the conditions that are out of balance. The goal of our work is to assess and redefine ways of being in the body that are harmonious.

We incorporate the systematic use of breath and its relationship to the muscular-skeletal system to bring balance and a deep sense of well-being. Personalized booklets with a daily yoga program can be prepared for you to assist you in maintaining your personal home practice.

This session will be provided at the Pacific Cultural Center in Santa Cruz.
