Description

The Marin Rowing Association brought home three gold medals and two silver medals from the Charles, continuing the club's history of success at the regatta!

One free one-hour introductory lesson at Marin Rowing.  They offer lessons throughout the week, and you can coordinate with their sculling instructor to find a date and time that works well for you.  You can find more information on their website at www.marinrowning.org

An introductory sculling lesson begins on the erg, to go over the basic motion of the stroke.  Then you will learn how to apply that motion to the boat, by learning how to move the oars through the water on their learning barge.  With the remaining time you will learn about the boat, oars, and how to put the equipment in the water.  Most people do not leave the dock during the first lesson, but you will be ready for a second lesson.  They will let you know all the other opportunities that are available to continue rowing through Marin Rowing at the end of the lesson.
