About the Artist
Vilija Kneizyte was born in 1957, graduated from Kaunas Art Gymnasium and later graduated from Vilnius Art Academy.
Since 1995, she has been a member of the Lithuanian Artists' Association. Work by Vilija is significant between North Europe's graphics elite. You can find her original art works in numerous public collections and art museums and some works have also been purchased by The National Art Museum of M.K.Ciurlionis, Lithuanian Art Museum along with private individuals from home and abroad.
Since 1979, Vilija has participated in numerous professional exhibitions worldwide including USA, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Hungary, Russia, Georgia, Canada, Australia, Belgium, Germany, Norway, Argentina, Switzerland, China, France, Poland amongst many other countries. She has also also had ten personal exhibitions in Lithuania.
"Music and poetry are the main things that influence my creative work. Talking about the latter, I have in mind not the illustration of it, but the interpretation, which is expressed in colors and lines" says Vilija.

The Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) was established in the United States in 1992 by Sir Elton John. EJAF's U.S. office is located in New York City. In 1993, Sir Elton also established the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF-UK) in the United Kingdom, headquartered in London. These two organizations function as separate entities with their own distinct grant-making portfolios, but both pursue similar missions - to support innovative HIV prevention programs, efforts to eliminate stigma and discrimination associated with HIV/AIDS, and direct care and support services for people living with HIV/AIDS. Collectively, the two organizations have raised over $220 million since inception in support of projects in 55 countries around the world, including significant funding dedicated to programs in their respective home countries.
The Elton John AIDS Foundation has received support from many notable celebrities including Robbie Williams,Elizabeth Hurley and Tony Bennett.
