Leon & Lulu donated nine (9) children's books - six hardcover books and three paperbacks. The hardcover titles are:

  • Dog Breath by Carolyn Beck, illustrated by Brooke Kerrigan - a picture book about a lovable, rambunctious dog

  • Little Michigan - a Little state board filled with fun rhyming riddles from the Little series from Sleeping Bear Press.

  • Over and Under the Snow by Kate Messner with art by Christopher Silas Neal - "The lovely book nudges you toward the winter woods, ready to look and listen with a grander attention and joy."

  • Miss Martin is a Martian (MEMSPA Children's Book Award Winner) by Colleen Murrary Fisher, illustrated by Jared Chapman - Melvin Eugene Baxter is convinced that his new teacher, Miss Martin, is a Martian. It is his mission to stop her before she takes over the planet.

  • Robert Frost's Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening illustrated by award-winning illustrator Susan Jeffers - this book is perfect for introducing children to great American literature. It's elegance and magic will be cherished by the whole family.

  • That's Mean! by Pittau & Gervais - Lessons in social no-nos, including telling your sister she's ugly, and many, many more!

The paperback titles include one book for ages 4-8:

  • I Am Stumped by Lisa Rivard, illustrated by Colleen Murray Fisher - All Aiden wants to do is play with his friends, but his name starts with the wrong letter, he's wearing the wrong color, and he's eating the wrong food. He's so confused that he's stumped! This book teaches kids how to get along and that three is not a crowd.

And two paperbacks for young adults:

  • Escape from Zobadak (MEMSPA Children's Book Award Winner)by Brad Gallagher - With his sister Sophie and their friends, Chris and Maggie, Billy decides to explore deeper into this impossible place. What they don't realize is someone else is looking for it too.

  • The Magic Pencil by Karen E. Dabney - Malcolm Bakersfield's new classmate, Nia Stellar is "not your average girl." Exciting and fantastic events occur, seemingly to do with her and a scruffy, used pencil. Nia challenges Malc in many ways and he discovers new abilities and sides to himself. We join him in his quest to find the truth to the power of the pencil.
