Market Square, "your neighborhood grocery store," has two locations - 2100 Walnut Lake in West Bloomfield and 1964 Southfield Rd in Birmingham. 

Market Square stores have become well known for their quality meats, catering and prepared foods that shoppers can't find anywhere else. The stores make their own sausage and the Market Square rotisserie chicken has won awards. The secret is a special, very expensive, spice blend that owner Johnny Karmo created just for his chickens. From recipes that were developed right in the Market Square kitchens, the stores also feature their own exclusive coleslaw, tabuli, tuna salad and more.

Both Market Square stores are the kind of place where kids get free suckers, customers are known by their first name and their pictures hang on the wall behind the cash registers. Many local residents come in a few times a week to pick up dinner or a bottle of wine as they head home from work. Others call in their grocery orders to be picked up or delivered at a convenient time.
