Description
Made in Waitsfield, Vermont this Vermont original was put on the water once and has since been kept in dry storage. The boat is in mint condition. This is the Kevlar Expedition model and is a MUST HAVE boat if you love canoe travel.
The last Mad River Canoe built in Waitsfield, VT was made in December 2001 and this Explorer was made in January 2001. That means it's one of the last primo Vermont made boats. The Explorer is a great all round canoe - tripping, family recreational, etc. If you are only going to own one canoe, it should be a Kevlar Mad River Explorer.
The Explorer KE was the first open canoe to successfully go down the Grand Canyon and it's been used extensively in wilderness trips as well as a jack-of-all-trades canoe.
