Wave Notes was created by North Carolina artist and breast cancer survivor Joyce Watkins King. This small, 8 x 8" composition was created using the ancient painting medium of encaustic.  This work was created on a cradled board and does not require a frame. 

JWK is an encaustic and textile artist. Her work has been included in more than 250 local, regional, and national juried exhibitions including the NC Museum of Art. Her work is in the collections of individuals, corporations, and institutions in the U.S. She currently has an exhibition in the Atlanta offices of Red Hat Corp.
