Mountain Play - a great outdoor adventure!  A spectacular outdoor musical on Mount Tamalpais in Marin County, CA. 

This year the Mountain Play will be "The Sound of Music."  It’s on Sundays in late May through June and in the outdoor amphitheater near the top of the Mountain -- with views of the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco!

The musical isn't the only act at the Mountain Play.  There's puppet shows and face-painting for kids before the show and musical entertainment while you wait to board the bus after the play.  They'll keep you entertained all day long.  Just relax and soak in the sights, or why not enjoy a beautiful hike before the show?

Or some hikers choose to take the bus up to the theatre, and then hike down afterwards. The hike down is an easier one since the Mountain Play bus transports ice chests and other bulky items to "The Depot" in Mill Valley where you can retrieve your gear and hop on a shuttle back to your parked car.
