Philip Linares

Philip Linares comes to The Trent Wearner Golf  Academy after being the Director of Instruction for four years at a golf  club in town where he developed a thriving junior golf program, as well  as created successful adult programs.  He heads our growing group junior programs focusing on juniors aged 6-13, including our popular PGA Sports Academy program as well as our Beginner Adult Programs titled Get Golf Ready. 

During  his 10 year career in the golf business, he has continually increased  his knowledge of the game and his ability to teach all aspects of the game.  He has also completed the intensive training required to become a Certified TaylorMade clubfitter.  Philip has a bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology from Iowa State University.  He has an extensive and varied background working with children in various recreational and therapeutic settings.  Philip is involved with the First Tee Program as well as the PGA Golf In Schools Program.  He is an asset in the continued growth and development of junior golf and beginners here at the Trent Wearner Golf Academy.   Our  programs and Philip’s leadership will increase your interest in the  game, your enjoyment of the game, and your development in golf, as  well as all of the life lessons the game teaches.
