Wish you had some special socks and can't do it yourself?  How would you like to pick a mutually agreeable yarn with Katherine at a mutually agreeable time in December 2012 or January 2013 and then have her do the work?  She knits these things all the time (sometimes in KUNM staff meetings) and they are made of machine washable wool that holds up to the occasional run through the dryer while holding up to lots of normal wear and whatnot.  She will have them finished for you by May so if you are planning to head to the antipodes on Summer vacation, your tootsies will be toasty.
