Festival Ballet Albuquerque & The Figueroa Project, choreography by Patricia Dickinson Wells & orchestra under the baton of Maestro Guillermo Figueroa, present The Nutcracker Ballet the Land of Enchantment, a beloved holiday tradition, set in the1890’s in Territorial New Mexico. Resplendent with local heritage & traditions while maintaining the classical grace of its origins, The Nutcracker Ballet in the Land of Enchantment is the perfect holiday treat.  Complete with traditional favorites of the Sugar Plum Fairy, classical Snowflakes and Flowers, Maria and her Nutcracker travel to the land of enchantment, discovering magical surprises: Spanish dancers, southwestern snakes, sheep and shepherdesses, a lively fandango, and a storyteller with children. Beautiful sets, period western Victorian-era costumes of 1st Act Party along with never before seen pyrotechnics in the Battle will light up the stage in this creative classical production.  Every seat at NHCC magical and parking is free.  Travel on the Reindeer Express shuttle between parking lot and front door!
