Demetria Martinez and Rosalee Montoya-Read are offering a reading of their children's book, Grandpa's Magic Tortilla. The reading would be ideal for a party of children from ages 5 on up and would include an art project by Lisa May Casaus, the book's illustrator. In this light-hearted bilingual tale, animals mysteriously appear on a burnt toritllla that grandpa made, causing up uproar in Chimayo, New Mexico. The book is a delightful story celebrating culture and childhood whimsey. Grandpa's Magic Tortilla is  the winner of a 2011 New Mexico Book Award for Young Readers.
