St. James’s Club & Villas

7 nights of luxurious accommodations, for up to two rooms double occupancy at a premiere 4-star Caribbean beachfront resort.  St. James’s Club will leave you with amazing island memories to last a lifetime.

Tucked away on a secluded 100-acre peninsula on the southeastern coast of Antigua, the St. James's Club Resort & Villas exudes a casual, club-like ambience. This exclusive hideaway caters to couples, families and singles with plenty of amenities and activities. The resort has a longstanding reputation for exceptional, caring service. Here, guests can retreat from the world or enjoy a wide array of island- and water-based diversions.

Two white-sand beaches offer a host of fun-filled activities. Coco Beach is like an aquarium for snorkelers, while the calm waters of Mamora Bay are ideal for swimming. St. James's Club provides complimentary non-motorized water sports such as kayaking, pedal boating and catamaran sailing.

Guests can also sunbathe or dip into six distinctive swimming pools, succumb to the pleasures of a spa and salon, or stay plugged in at the Internet café. Exercise buffs also enjoy the resort's six tennis courts and Fitness Center, while families appreciate the resort's special children's area and the complimentary, award-winning Kidz Club. And when it comes to dining, the resort's four top-notch restaurants serve everything from casual to Continental cuisine.

Resort Amenities - St. James's Club Resort & Villas invites couples, families and groups to enjoy quality time together in a fun, laid-back Caribbean setting. Lushly landscaped grounds sweep down to two beautiful white-sand beaches: Mamora Bay Beach, and Coco Beach on the aquamarine Atlantic.

All accommodations provide a sense of privacy and oneness with nature, whether you opt for a villa in "The Village" area, which tumbles down a gently sloping hillside towards the beach, or a room in "The Club," near the resort's restaurants and activities. Accommodations choices include spacious villas, suites and hotel-style rooms with stunning water views or serene garden settings.

St. James's Club & Villas is set in one of Antigua's posh areas, yet the ambience is low-key and comfortably casual. Here, it's easy to disappear from the world or to fill your days with outdoor-oriented activities, including tennis, water sports, deep-sea fishing or joining in the games for kids of all ages. Four restaurants range from casual waterside dining to romantic settings with panoramic views and eclectic menu offerings to please every palate. Wind down with a cocktail and listen to a live band; take in lively entertainment.

Car rental is available to explore the island's sightseeing historical sites. Savor the local Caribbean cuisine or shop in historic St. John's all only 30 minutes from the resort by car, as is Antigua's international airport.

Resort Activities

BEACHES - Perched on a hillside overlooking Antigua's beautiful southeastern coast, St. James's Club offers two idyllic white-sand beaches with very different personalities - the peaceful shores of Mamora Bay and the exciting surf of Coco Beach.

Mamora Bay - Guests can opt to relax or play, with a wide range of non-motorized water sports at their disposal, all free to guests, on Mamora Bay's beautiful swathe of white sand fringed by palm trees that cast cooling, deep blue shade. Here you will enjoy the views of our lovely, Mediterranean-style villas that dot the verdant hillside, while boats and brightly colored catamarans quietly bob at anchor in the warm Caribbean waters.

Coco Beach - At St. James's Club, a green promontory marks the dividing line between Atlantic and Caribbean, and on the Atlantic side you'll find yourself on lovely Coco Beach. Waves and whitecaps meet the shores our second sweeping beach, perfect for tanning or frolicking in the invigorating ocean waters. Had enough sun? No problem. Take refuge in the cool breezes that play among the many swaying palm trees carefully planted here for your enjoyment.

POOLS - It's always cool by the pool, so St. James's Club guests can chill out in a new location anytime they like: Each of the resort's six pools has its own distinctive personality.

Reef Deck Pool - The inviting main pool is centrally located just off our Rainbow Garden restaurant, with a wrap-around glass wind screen; it offers its own Reef Deck Bar and a friendly atmosphere, suited to those who want to cool off or mix and mingle.

Children’s Pool - The children's pool is a splashy gathering spot for kids 12 and under. Kids can frolic in safety while their parents relax nearby in a chaise lounge.

Tiered Pool - Tucked into its own little hillside corner, our three-tier Tranquility Pool is just the spot for a peaceful dip or a poolside snooze - it's for adults only.

Coco’s Pool - The fourth pool, a place to lounge or take a post-meal dip, it is adjacent to Coco Beach Restaurant & Bar. Two new pools are set within the new Royal Suite, featuring beautiful waterfall and landscaping.

Beyond St. James's own beaches and pools, you can fill your vacation - or your entire annual calendar - with new beaches to explore. With some 365 beaches to choose from on Antigua, there's a new beach to visit every day! Closer to the resort, some south coast beach favorites include Frye's Bay, Darkwood Beach, and the beaches near Johnson's Point and Rendezvous Bay. Farther afield, Half Moon Bay and Dickenson's Beach are among tourist and local favorites. The late Princess Diana counted the beaches of nearby Barbuda - and one in particular - among her favorites. Even commoners can hop on a ferry to check out the beautiful expanses of pink sand that so struck her royal fancy.

SWIM, DIVE & SNORKEL - When you visit the St. James's Club, exploring the undersea world is easy - just pick a snorkel and fins from our onsite Watersports Center and dive right in! Check out the vibrant array of sea life awaiting right offshore in azure Mamora Bay. All of your equipment and instruction are complimentary during your stay. In the clear, warm waters that surround St. James's Club, it's easy to pick up a snorkel and fins and get acquainted with some of more than 70 species of colorful fish, which make their home off the coast of Antigua.

Antigua and its sister island, Barbuda, both are surrounded by coral reefs, walls and shipwrecks, and sea life is plentiful, so adventurous spirits can make the most of their vacation by checking out the wide range of dive sites available here. Dive depths are relatively shallow, ranging from 25 to 80 feet, with some deeper sites around 180 feet.

Those who'd like to visit some of the 20 nearby dive sites or take a lesson can do so with Mamora Dive Center. The nearby dive shop picks up guests on site and can arrange one- or two-tank dives. Especially popular are excursions to Cades Reef, part of which is now protected by Antigua's underwater park. With shallow depths of only 30 to 50 feet, and clear warm water, the reef supports a wide array of colorful sea life.

You'll be fascinated by the wreck of the Andes, a three-masted merchant ship which sank bow-first after a dramatic onboard conflagration in June 1905. A popular shallow-water dive, the Andes sits at 30-foot depths in nearby Deep Bay. Equipment rentals are included in the cost of any lesson or excursion.

The southern and eastern coasts of Antigua are considered to offer the most consistent diving. for more advanced divers, the ledge of Sunken Rock off the island's southern coast is a popular site, with a ledge at 30 feet that plummets to 150 feet, occupied by a welcoming committee of stingrays and barracuda.

Nearby, the island of Barbuda offers diving among many relatively unexplored wrecks. Because dive facilities are more limited on Barbuda, it's best to arrange in advance for transportation of diving gear by plane when planning a dive excursion from its shores.

Mamora Bay Divers – Dive Shop - The Mamora Bay Divers Dive Shop is a locally owned company of experienced PADI certified international divers located at the St. James's Club providing a full service dive shop.
