Description

BREYER Collectible 1202 Clydesdale Stallion

A magnificent and powerful animal, the Clydesdale has become one of the most well known equines in the world today.  Its massive size, trademark white face and feathered white legs make the breed instantly recognizable, and its “gentle giant” demeanor have made the Clydesdale extremely popular with each generation that is introduced to this draft horse.

The breed’s origins are found deep in the farming areas of Scotland.  The heavy draft is named after the famous Clyde River that marks the area in which the Clydesdale was most prominently developed.  Interestingly, it is considered on of the newer draft breeds, having been a product of the 18th century, and reflects considerable influences from the Shire and Friesian breeds.

This 1202 model was manufactured in 2003-2004 and has since been retired, making it difficult to obtain.
