Life on the Farm -- One week of Summer Day Camp for Your Adventurous Youngster

Remember when, once upon a time, what we learned at summer camp was how to make a lanyard or a Popsicle stick box for mom?  Well, times have indeed changed, and we can thank the Connolly Ranch for that!

Life on the Farm summer camp is a week-long summer experience bridging farming, gardening, cooking and arts and crafts experiences in a dynamic, hands-on, youth-driven environment. 

In the mornings, your camper will discover the sources of their food -- they’ll learn the importance of caring for farm animals, tending to the organic gardens, and cooking fresh healthy food, most of it from the Connolly Ranch gardens.

After lunch and games, they can take it easy and relax in the shade or hike in the woodlands and work on arts and crafts activities. As the day comes to an end they all join together in the Bay Grove to make music and share stories in the Connolly Ranch tepee.

The camps are designed for your child, ages 6 (first grade-ready) to 11

Life on the Farm camp runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Your choice of camp dates are the weeks of:
June 17, July 1, July 22, or August 5

The mission of Connolly Ranch is to connect children with nature through farm based environmental education programs. Here they learn about farm life, the role of farm animals, the concepts of ecology and sustainability along with an appreciation for nature. They also learn about organic gardening, the sources and benefits of healthy foods and an appreciation of how nature works to sustain us.

Located just a short drive from downtown Napa, Connolly Ranch is a rich reminder of Napa County's agricultural
past. The 12 acres serve as the Connolly Ranch Education Center, providing dynamic, hands-on education programs in an outdoor setting for children and the community.
