Description

Hand blown glass bowl, that was made from recycled glass or window pane.  The bowl takes shape as it melts and flows over a stainless steel mould.  Colour is placed between the layers of glass and as the glass fuses together in the heat of the kiln, air bubbles are trapped.   Do not recommend use in the microwave or dishwasher because as the air in the bubbles warms, it expands and can shatter the bowl.

Special Instructions

The couple work out of their hotshop in Dundurn near Blackstrap Lake.  In addition to the casting, blowing and sculpting of hot glass, they produce bowls and plates from recycled plate glass or window panes.
