This beautiful 5 piece porcelain set was created in the late 20th century. Hand painted in Japan, they feature an interior flower motif outlined in gold with gold scroll work around the interior edge.  The exterior features an intricate gold lotus situated in a red tear drop; this pattern repeats along the circumference of each piece. 

The bowls vary in size.  The largest has a diameter of 8.5 inches.  The next largest has diameter of 7 inches.  The two smallest bowls are the same size both measuring 6 inches in diameter.  They nest perfectly inside one another for ease of storage or for a unique aesthetic. The plate is 9.5 inches in diameter
