Description

Come enjoy a relaxing day of making art at Brushstrokes.  One person can visit five times, or bring a group of five for a party!

Their mission is to create an atmosphere that is beautiful, inspiring,

relaxing, and hospitable in which customers can express their

creativity. To be a positive part of our wider east bay community by

being involved in schools and other civic organizations and by being

a drop-in storefront space where the community, friends, and families can connect through the process of making art.

Founded, owned, and operated by artists
Brushstrokes was founded in 1996 by the ceramic artists Nancy

Selvin and Kevin Nierman (of Kids ‘n’ Clay). In June 1998, Jessica

Williams bought the business from Kevin and Nancy. She maintained

the general principles on which the business was founded: a paint-

your-own-pottery studio that feels like a real art studio and is run by

creative, inspiring artists. She developed the business by adding

programs including summer camps, classes, programs for Mom’s

Groups, an after school program, and other special events and

activities in addition to the drop-in studio hours.

Special Instructions

No reservation required for paties of less than eight (8) people.

No experience necessary.

The studio fee is included, pottery is priced separately.
