The Michie Tavern, established in 1784, served as the social center of its community and accommodated travelers with food, drink and lodging.  Located next to Monticello (we have tickets up for bid), this Virginia Landmark captures 18th-century life.

While you're there, consider visiting the Tavern.  The Tavern's dining room features hearty Midday Fare in a rustic tavern setting.  Servers dressed in period attire are pleased to bring you seconds on colonial fried chicken, homemade biscuits, the renowned stewed tomatoes, and so much more!  Many guests enjoy the buffet as their main meal of the day.
