Learn to play the drums from a master.
Aaron Alexander is a drummer and composer who has called NYC home for 20 years. Originally from Seattle, WA he has toured extensively playing creative music, recorded dozens of CDs, performed at top venues such as Town Hall, Lincoln Center, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and at Festivals such as North Sea Jazz Festival, Pepsi Sziget Festival (in Budapest), Ring Ring Festival (Belgrade), Montreal Jazz Festival and many more.
Alexander teaches drums and ensembles at Klez Kamp, Klez Kanada and other klezmer festivals, and he is founder and director of the New York Klezmer Series, at Stephen Wise Free Synagogue, where he teaches an instrumental Klezmer Workshop weekly.
He loves to teach drums privately and maintains an active practice. His teachers were Jerry Granelli, Sam Ulano, Bob Moses, Marvin 'Smitty' Smith, Mike Clark and Joe Morello.
