Enjoy a delectable and authentic 8 Course Chinese Dinner in the comfort of your own home for up to 6 people!

The Arc of Indiana Board Member, Marlene Lu, will prepare an 8 Course Chinese Dinner for six people. Ingredients will be provided and the dinner will be prepared in your home on a date convenient to both chef and winner. Marlene will travel anywhere in the State of Indiana.

The menu will be tailored to likes, dislikes, and any food sensitivities and is slated to include:

• Appetizer


• Soup


• Four Entrees


• Rice


• Noodles


• Dessert (and not just fortune cookies!)

Marlene (Moilanen) Lu has spent over 40 years living within the Chinese culture, including 8 years of co-owning a Chinese restaurant in Terre Haute and another 15 years based in Taiwan and traveling in Southeast Asia.  While she now cooks just for the pleasure of it (and that of family members & friends), she often gets requests "When are you going to make us some egg rolls?" In relation to her work with the Indiana State University's Blumberg Center in the Bayh College of Education and the university's Diversity Council, Marlene often assists with the Lunar New Year Celebration held by the Taiwan Students Association at ISU and serves on the board of the Chinese School of the Wabash Valley - a community outreach project of the BCOE at ISU.
