You are invited into the home of David and Lori Fhima where you and your guests - up to four people total - will be entertained while learning the tips and tricks of the trade. Prepare to get your hands "dirty" for this hands-on experience as you work side-by-side with David and Lori in the intimacy of their historic Mt. Curve home. Learn new cooking skills or perfect those you have. Finally, you will taste and enjoy the dishes you prepare. All dishes will be beautifully paired with the perfect wine.

Born in Casablanca, Morocco to a Spanish mother and a Sicilian father, David has been in the US since 1982. He is married with four children and resides in Minnesota where he has worked and owned some recognizable and award winning restaurants: Louis XII, Minneapolis Cafe, and Fhima's to name a few.  David's culinary studies and training have taken him from Casablanca to London, Paris to Geneva and Los Angeles to Minneapolis; cities that have influenced him greatly. The biggest influence, however, has been his mother's cooking and his father's prowess in butchering (not to mention the five languages they spoke at home between them!). David's work as a Chef has taken him from L’Orangerie in Los Angeles to Lifetime Fitness in cities across the US, to working with children at various schools, to creating a personal meal plan tailored to athletes. David's philosophy has been, and continues to be, that “healthy” starts with whole ingredients, satisfying your cravings, a symbiotic relationship with the environment, moving your body and feeding your senses. David's philosophy of a little science, a little common sense, some personal preference--with an emphasis on pleasure--is the healthiest way to shape everyone's eating habits. David is currently staging all of his efforts out of his newest venture, Faces Mears Park, in Lowertown, St.Paul.
