Ken Wright Cellars is located in rural Carleton, Oregon, and is focused on producing vineyard designated Pinot Noirs with tons of character. The Carter Vineyard is located in the Eola Hills and its soil is mostly formed from weathered rock.

This 2006 Carter Vineyard Pinot Noir is a fine example of their spectacular work. This is my first Ken Wright Cellars wine and I was surprised at the complexity.

The 2006 vintage was exceptionally warm and dry and said to produce lush, ready to drink wines. We found that the tannins remained structured with this Pinot. The nuances for this wine were rampant: smokiness, dark chocolate and blueberries.
