Born in Montana, raised in New York City, Pamela Sanden McMahon now lives in the rural hills of The Berkshires with her husband and four children. She studied painting and drawing at The Arts Students League of New York. Her parents are world-renowned portrait painters John Howard Sanden and Elizabeth Sanden.
