Description

Brevard Public Schools Space Week is a chance to shape our next generation of space explorers!

To spark an interest in STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) each year in November and December, Brevard Public Schools holds Space Week for almost 5,500 public school sixth graders. During Space Week, each student has the opportunity to study space and space exploration. The highlight of the program is a study trip to Kennedy Space Center for experiential learning. While there, they have a briefing and exclusive question/answer session with an astronaut, participate in an engineering bridge building experiment, tour the Visitor Center and see many demonstrations on the work that takes place at Kennedy Space Center. By exposing students to space and the Center in sixth grade, we hope to inspire them to begin taking the classes necessary to become our future engineers and space explorers.

For just $25, you can help send a child to Brevard Space Week.
