Travel around the world through the art of different cultures. This class will learn about a different part of the world and recreate a piece of art indigenous to that area each week. Examples of lessons are French Impressionism, Oceanic Masks, and African Kente Prints. We may also recreate the work of different artists from the area of the world being discussed, for example; Mexico's Diego Rivera, Japan's Hokusai or the Netherland's Van Gogh. This class is a fun way to open student's eyes to the world around them and bring prolific works to a relatable, interpretable level.
