Description

Set of 12 note cards and envelopes, featuring original artwork by current and recent Phoenix School students: Isabelle, Leo, Jeff, Mayan, Noah K, Daniel, Elliot, John G, Gabrielle, Jack, Luke, and Olivia.

One of The Phoenix School's most incredible interdisciplinary studies was in 2008 when we studied the history and culture of Paris, in particular the artists of the late 19th and early 20th century.

The artwork that was produced by Phoenix artists illustrates the depth of their content knowledge as well as their skill in using color effectively and developing artistic compositions, regardless of age. Phoenix kids often use note card drawings to communicate the information they have learned. By combining scientific drawings with artistic colors, they learn to build a composition with a main focus and a background that communicates relevant information or they work with negative space, adding smaller details to create a more textured background.

This is a Live Event Item.
