The lucky winner will receive a gift certificate redeemable for a full semester of music or dance classes at The Early Ear for ages 4 months to 5 years.

Since 1992, The Early Ear has offered a warm, welcoming environment for children as young as 3 months to learn about music. The classes feature real instruments—including mini-violins, conga drums, xylophones, and recorders, among others—that little ones can play. Sometimes they break out toys such as parachutes, puppets, and rubber balls.

Early Ear instructors are professional musicians who teach children not only fun songs, but also play a variety of instruments themselves, from tuba to trombone, from cello to guitar. There is live, piano accompaniment as well, and the song list is an adult-friendly mix that's less "Old MacDonald" and more "Ode to Joy." Even the smallest music students learn about music theory, including notation, in a fun and playful way.

The Early Ear also offers "Dance With Me," a dance and pre-ballet program for ages 2.5 to 5 years. Kids are introduced to basic movement principles through creative play. Using their imaginations, children are encouraged to express themselves through dance and are given the opportunity to imitate their teacher and create their own solo dances at the end of each class.
