Description
Located in the heart of Greenwich Village, Miette Culinary Studio offers cooking classes, private culinary events (including birthday, engagement, and anniversary parties), corporate events, and catering. The intimate setting is a charming mix of antiques and French countryside style. Whatever your event, it is sure to be a fun and memorable experience at Miette.
Classically-trained Belgian chef Paul Vandewoude, formerly of Le Zinc in Tribeca and Tartine in the West Village, teaches professional techniques and shares his most popular recipes in hands-on sessions. Students learn tips of the trade while preparing recipes, and they dine together at the end of each class. For parties and corporate events a customised menu is created, and Chef Paul leads guests and participants in preparing a wonderful meal together.
Private lessons are also available.
Just Opened! Miette on Mulberry
After many years of requests for larger parties, we are pleased to announce that we can finally say “Yes”! Miette’s new 1800 square foot rustic/chic loft space in Little Italy can accommodate cooking parties of up to 40 people, and is available for catered events and rentals. All regularly scheduled classes will continue at the Greenwich Village location.
Cooking Classes
Miette's cooking classes are small – under 12 students per class - and are designed for anyone who wants to cook, from the beginner to the more experienced home chef. Students will expand skills and knowledge, learn new techniques, and gain confidence in the kitchen. All classes are hands-on!
Students work with fresh seasonal farmers’ produce and other healthful ingredients to prepare gourmet meals in a relaxed setting. Each student receives a recipe packet and all classes end with a sit-down dinner and a glass of wine.
Special Instructions
Exp. 12/31/2013.
Miette means, "little crumb" in French. This name was chosen while giving cooking classes at the restaurant Tartine in the West Village. Since Tartine means "slice of bread" we thought it an appropriate name for the school!
