Lisa Sonnenberg is thrilled to be representing the wonderful State of Illinois in the 2012 Mrs. America Pageant. As a mother and homemaker to children ages 2, 4, and 8, balance has become her survival mechanism.

Although her true happiness incorporates her faith and family, she has learned that life becomes so much more fulfilling when she is able to impact others’ lives as well. Over the years, Lisa has had the privilege of working with young girls, planning and participating in wholesome, worthwhile activities in the community, themed around health, wellness and positive self- image. Having experienced postpartum depression herself, Lisa has also partnered with a local hospital and multiple non-profit organizations to share her story to help other women. In addition to her community efforts, Lisa owns a successful cookie business, “Lisa's Sweet Treats.”
