Poppies, and their ability to grow in unfavorable conditions are a symbol of fortitude. They make their way into the artwork of Lisa Bromiel in gardens and serve as tributes to strong people she has known.

Lisa has a Bachelor's degree in Art/Visual Culture Education with an emphasis in Painting and Printmaking from Northern Illinois University.

Lisa is on staff at DuPage Children's Museum.
