Goddess of Sun and Moon

I decided to cut into the ceramic before adding color in an attempt to make the ceramic structure my own. The goddess emerged once I started coloring. I enjoyed the high color, informality and child-like quality of the crayons with the cuts now becoming apparent on closer inspection.  When light is projected from the back of this mask, rays of light radiate through its face.
