Mitt Romney was the Republican Party's nominee for President of the United States in the 2012 election. From 2003 to 2007, he served as the 70th Governor of Massachusetts. In 1984 he co-founded Bain Capital, that became one of the nation’s largest private equity firms. In 2002, he served as President and CEO of the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the Winter Olympic Games.
